On June 15th, Andy’s Recreation Club brought the community together for an unforgettable afternoon of movement and connection at the Vaughan YMCA. Featuring special guest instructors Prempz and Karlointheends—renowned dancers who have performed internationally with major artists like Asake—this dance class was a celebration of rhythm, culture, and joy.

Our collaboration with the Vaughan YMCA created the perfect setting for this high-energy event. Known for its inclusive and welcoming atmosphere, the YMCA provided the ideal space for participants to let loose, have fun, and learn from some of the best in the dance world.

The Day’s Highlights

  • Inclusive and Fun Atmosphere: Beginners and seasoned dancers alike found the session engaging and enjoyable, thanks to the instructors’ step-by-step approach.

  • Dynamic Choreography: Participants learned routines that blended Afrobeat, hip-hop, and contemporary dance, making the experience both exciting and memorable.

  • Community Building: The class wasn’t just about learning moves—it was about coming together as a community to celebrate the joy of movement.

Here’s what some of our attendees shared:

  • “Learning from Prempz and Karlo was an incredible experience! Their energy was contagious, and the routines were so much fun.”

  • “I loved how welcoming the class was. It didn’t matter if you were a beginner or experienced—you could just enjoy yourself.”

  • “This was my first event with Andy’s Recreation Club, and I’m already looking forward to the next one!”

If you missed this event, don’t worry! Andy’s Recreation Club is always planning exciting activities to keep the community engaged. From paintball to dodgeball to more star-studded dance classes, there’s something for everyone.
